MAP REPOSITORY
Detailed maps of Karachi have not necessarily been
made. Historic maps are still disputed colonial property,
lack categorization, inaccessible in private collections,
or located in far-flung regions of the world. We are
currently building the first open access map repository
for the city. The repository aims to gather and digitize
existing maps from all possible sources to create a
comprehensive collection that will eventually reveal the
city's socio-climatic evolution.
Next version: 200 more maps, categorization into themes and model for socio-climatic evolution coming late 2023.
